Today 2nd May 2023, BlindShell are launching a new update for the BlindShell Classic 2.

BSC2 5.1.5 will include the below changes:

• Added battery level announcement on the main screen (optional). Available in voice output settings
• Added support for Bluetooth keyboards
• It will now be possible to reply to a recent SMS during a call
• Fixed Spanish characters' pronunciations
• Other minor bug fixes

To install the update, navigate to settings in the menu and select System Update and Check for updates. 

The phone will announce that version 5.1.5 is available for download. Press the centre line on the top row of the phone and it will announce download now. 

Click the green button on the left on the second row of the phone and the download will start automatically. The phone will announce how the download is performing until it is complete.

You will then be asked if you would like to install the update. If you would like to proceed press the green button again and it will install and restart the phone. It will announce it is updating and the progress level.

Once the update has completed the phone will restart and be ready to use.
