We are delighted to share some exciting news with you! IrisVision Live 2.0 has received a new software update, which is scheduled to take place today Monday, June 24th at 4pm. This update brings a host of new features and improvements. To ensure a smooth update process, please ensure your device is powered on and connected to WiFi.

Here are the details of the new features:

Optical Character Recognition (OCR)

Our new OCR feature allows you to take pictures of any text and have it read aloud for you. This function operates offline, ensuring you can use it anywhere without needing an internet connection. Whether it's reading menus, labels on prescription bottles, instructions for products, important mail, or documents, the OCR feature is designed to make your life easier and more convenient.

How to Use:

To use the OCR feature, start in either the Scene, Reading, Television, or RP mode. Then, open the menu and select the “capture text” option to begin the OCR readout process. A countdown from 3 will start, prompting you to position a page of text clearly in front of the camera. After 3 seconds pass, the device will take a photo of the page and read aloud the text that has been captured. Alternatively, you can also use the “capture text” voice command in the modes mentioned above to start the process.

YouTube Mode

With the new YouTube Mode, users can easily search and watch local news stories, recipes, instructional videos, Do It Yourself tutorials, and much more from their headset. You can search for videos using voice control and browse the YouTube platform seamlessly. This feature aims to provide a more intuitive and enjoyable video-watching experience. 

How to use:

To watch YouTube videos, begin by navigating to YouTube mode. The YouTube mode will first display a feed of IrisVision videos.

If you would like to search for another video, activate a voice command on your remote, and say the word “search” followed by the videos you are looking for. For example, you could say “search Italian recipes.” If you are already watching a

YouTube video, open the video menu and select the “video search” option; this will also activate voice commands, and you can say the name of the video you would like to find.
