MyEye 9.8 Release Notes

OrCam MyEye’s new software version 9.8 is a small update that includes specific improvements as a result of the feedback we received from the recent release of version 9.4 in July 30th. 

In addition to some minor bug fixes the 3 significant additions to this version are:

1. Additional phone number formats are now supported in smart reading for the different countries (Germany, UK, France).

This means that now when using the Smart Reading feature, “Read the phone numbers” command is expected to work much better in UK, German and French texts.

2. Option to change country using the setup menu. 

We have now added the ability to manually change the country (to UK/France/Germany etc) through the menu settings. Device country will affect the device time settings, flicker rate setting and the supported format for phone numbers in Smart Reading.

3. Support for Scottish banknotes in “Banknote identification” feature
