EYE4 uses augmented reality and proprietary software to simulate natural vision.
When you put on the EYE4 glasses, a small embedded camera captures your surroundings, manipulates and enhances the pixels and re-displays the image. The result? You can now use your functional peripheral vision to its fullest potential.
EYE4's software technology brings the entire image into view by optimizing your peripheral vision. Unlike VR style wearables, EYE4 glasses are not fully enclosed. The user's peripheral vision remains usable to maintain mobility.
EYE4 glasses are comfortable, discreet, and ultra-lightweight. EYE4 uses a dedicated, tethered mobile phone which acts as the controller, processes images and powers the glasses.
The new EYE4 comes with the EyeSwitch™ feature allowing the user to quickly switch to the phone camera and providing the 2-in-1 functionality of a wearable magnifier and a handheld magnifier. This makes the device perfect for viewing items out of the user's eye line such as high & low shelves, inside cupboards, more detailed close-up work etc. The mobile phone can be used for magnification or distance viewing, such as watching TV.
EYE4 has a unique autozoom feature that adjusts the zoom automatically between close-up and distance tasks and also includes image stabilisation which makes it much easier to read across lines of text at high magnification.
