The Looky 5 (HD Touch) is a small portable touch screen video magnifier that enables you to quickly and easily enlarge and enhance text, photographs, LCD screens etc. With its high definition camera It is ideal to use in the home for reading post, leaflets and medical instructions and for business users wanting to read short correspondence, view photocopier and appliance controls, file paperwork, view phone / calculator / multifunction print screens and attend meetings. The Looky 5 (HD Touch) is not just for near viewing it also has distance viewing enabling access to signs, timetable screens etc.
Even at small magnification levels the text on the Looky 5 (HD Touch) is extremely sharp, the touch screen allows for instant and precise magnification adjustment, with Looky 5 (HD Touch)'s freeze frame option; simply press the freeze button to capture text and then read with ease, the freeze frame enables you to pinch, pan and zoom around an image much like using a mobile phone or tablet. A magnetic reading guide is included and helps to simplify tracking without skipping lines.
The Looky 5 (HD Touch) features a foldable handle. This enables the user to hold the unit comfortably with one hand while reading. When folded in and placed on a document to read, the handle cleverly tilts the screen towards the user creating an ergonomic reading angle, making it more comfortable to read for longer periods. Due to the way the unit is angled, it is possible to handwrite under the Looky 5 (HD Touch) (for filling in forms, completing crosswords, signing documents etc.) either with or without the handle folded.
The Looky 5 (HD Touch) also has the added feature of being able to be connect to a TV to further magnify the text on a large screen.
The Looky 5 (HD Touch)’s 12 enhanced colour modes enable you to choose exactly the right colour combination for your eye condition, making text appear sharper and easier to read. Unwanted colour combinations can also be disabled.
The Looky 5 (HD Touch) Dock Charger and Spare Battery is an accessory for the Looky 5 (HD Touch). The package consists of a dock which you plug the battery of the Looky 5 (HD Touch) into and a spare battery. This will allow you to charge two batteries at the same time (one which is plugged into the Looky 5 (HD Touch) and one which is plugged into the Dock Charger) It is handy to have two charged batteries as it will allow you more time to use the magnifier. For example if you are out for the day having an extra battery will allow you to use the Looky 5 (HD Touch) magnifier throughout the day.
