Today, Thursday 22nd February 2024, BlindShell have launched a new update for the BlindShell Classic 2.

BSC2 5.1.8.4 will include new changes, fixes and features. This update primarily contains specific fixes.

Changelog:

• Fixed VoLTE for Vodafone Australia.
• Added APN configuration for La Poste Mobile (virtual carrier in FR).
• Added text and group chat support in messages.
• Disable duplicates in the custom emoji list.
• Fixed reading of time plurals.
• Headset button opens Voice assistant.
• Keyboard - autocapitalization after stop character and space.
• Other minor bug fixes: screen reader, DE pronunciation.

To install the update, navigate to settings in the menu and select System Update and Check for updates. 

The phone will announce that version 5.1.8.4 is available for download. Press the centre line on the top row of the phone and it will announce download now. 

Click the green button on the left on the second row of the phone and the download will start automatically. The phone will announce how the download is performing until it is complete.

You will then be asked if you would like to install the update. If you would like to proceed press the green button again and it will install and restart the phone. It will announce it is updating and the progress level.

Once the update has completed the phone will restart and be ready to use.
