• Interpreters and note takers provide excellent support, however, they often need to be booked days in advance. The significant increase in demand for these services over the last few years has made it much more difficult to access support when you need it.

• Personal interpreters can be very expensive particularly if you are using limited funding to pay for them. Interpreters will charge an hourly rate for their services and, in some cases, will also charge for travelling times to and from your location.

Speaksee requires a software licence to function, each software licence supports one conversation with up to 9 people, you can select a 1 year or 2 year licence with your device(s) and then renew your licence when it runs out. You can have up to 9 microphones with each licence and you can add additional microphones to your licence if you purchase less than the maximum to start. For multiple users and multiple conversations, you would need more licences eg, 3 groups of 3 people having separate conversations would require 9 microphones and 3 licences in total.
