Why raise awareness of low vision?
Visual impairment is difficult to explain and even more complex to experience during awareness campaigns.
This technological innovation, made by CFLOU, replaces plastic simulation glasses with augmented reality and goes further than the simple simulation of blindness (which is less widespread than visual impairment).
What does it do?
The Low Vision Simulator provides a unique and immersive experience, It allows users to experience vision loss in their own environment.
Using a VR headset to simulate different types of vision loss enables users to see first-hand how a vision condition, and the loss of vision due to these conditions, can affect people's sight. This can help users to better understand the challenges that people with visual impairment face day to day.
